Ed Peter, Chairman, is the co-founder of Duxton Asset Management ("Duxton"). Prior to forming Duxton in 2009, Ed was Head of Deutsche Asset Management Asia Pacific ("DeAM Asia"), Middle East & North Africa. He was also a member of the Deutsche Bank's (DB) Group Equity Operating Committee and Asset Management Operating Committee. Ed joined DB in 1999 as Head of Equities and Branch Manager of DB Switzerland. In March 2001, Ed moved to Hong Kong with Deutsche Bank and was appointed Head of Global Equities for Asia and Australia, becoming responsible for all of Global Emerging Markets Equities in the beginning of 2003. In November 2004, Ed became Head of Asian and Emerging Market Equities for the new Global Markets Division. Ed started his career in 1986 in Swiss equity sales for Credit Suisse in Geneva. In 1989, he moved to S.G. Warburg with responsibility for the sale of Swiss equities worldwide. In 1998, he was appointed Managing Director with responsibility for the International Swiss Equities and Derivatives sales force. Mr Peter holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature from Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota. Ed’s first foray into Agricultural investing was in 1999 and he remains passionately interested in Agriculture today. He is on the University of Adelaide’s Agribusiness advisory board, the University of Adelaide’s Wine Advisory board, and on the board of Wine Australia. Ed is married to Julie, a proud South Australian, and has 4 children. Ed draws and paints, makes noise on his saxophone, and can often be found flying around Australia in his bush plane when he is not in his veggie patch. His wife of 25 years still puts up with him and he has 4 children who would prefer if he didn’t grow quite so many veggies.

Desmond Sheehy, CIO

Desmond Sheehy is co-founder and Managing Director of Duxton Asset Management (Duxton). As well as general management responsibilities for the firm, Desmond is responsible for the investment management activities of Duxton. As well as setting and overseeing the investment strategy for the firm he serves as a non-executive director of a number of Duxton investee companies globally including in Latin America, India, Africa, Asia and ANZ. In addition he serves on a number of global task forces and committees focused on sustainable investment in emerging markets and food security.

Prior to founding Duxton, Desmond worked for Deutsche Asset Management (DeAM) Asia from July 2005 - April 2009, where he was a Managing Director and was the Head of the Complex Asset Investment group which raised a number of funds and mandates focused on emerging market and agriculture related investments. In addition to providing fiduciary oversight and managing the day-to-day running of the funds, Desmond’s roles included sourcing and evaluating new opportunities and strategies for investment, planning, structuring, financing and supervising the in-depth financial, technical, legal and financial due diligence of investments. Prior to joining DeAM, Desmond worked at the International Finance Corporation (IFC) as a Senior Investment Officer in both Washington DC and Hong Kong, where he was responsible for the origination, evaluation, execution and supervision of investments throughout Asia, working on several innovative and successful deals across the region. Before joining IFC, Desmond spent nine years as an engineer working throughout Europe and Asia on large infrastructure projects. Desmond holds an MBA from INSEAD (1998) and a BE (1988) from UCC in Ireland.

Stephen Duerden, CEO

Stephen Duerden (CEO) has over 26 years of experience in Investment Management and joined Duxton in May 2009. Prior to then, Stephen was the COO and Director for both the Complex Assets Investments Team and the Singapore operation of DeAM Asia. During his tenure in Australia, Stephen was a member of the Australian Executive Committee responsible for the management of the Australian business, with assets under management of approximately AUD $20 billion, and a member of the Private Equity Investment Committee overseeing the management of over AUD $2.5 billion in Private Equity and Infrastructure assets. Stephen has had exposure to a broad range of financial products and services during his career. He has been involved in direct property development and management, the listing and administration of REITS, as well as the operation and investment of more traditional asset portfolios. Stephen is currently a Director and Investment Committee member of a number of Cayman-based investment funds managed by Duxton, including the DWS Global Agricultural Land & Opportunities fund Limited and the DWS Vietnam Fund. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting Finance and Systems with merit from the University of NSW Australia and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investments from the Financial Services Institute of Australasia. Stephen is a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia and a Certified Practicing Accountant.

Kuan-Yew Chong, Head of Emerging Market Investment, joined Duxton in May 2009. Kuan-Yew's career in finance spans over 17 years. Prior to joining Duxton, Kuan-Yew was in DeAM Asia's Complex Asset Investments Team, where he spearheaded DWS Vietnam's unlisted equities team. Kuan-Yew was responsible for deal origination, negotiation, structuring, due diligence and closing of numerous private-equity investments for the DWS Vietnam Fund. Additionally, Kuan-Yew was also responsible for investments into direct agricultural farmland in Zambia and Tanzania for the DWS GALOF. Kuan-Yew was also responsible for improving investment processes, monitoring and exit of investments for the DWS Vietnam Fund. Prior to DB, Kuan-Yew was an Associate Director of the Direct Investment team at AIG Investments based in Malaysia, where he was involved in the development of new equity investments in a broad array of target sectors including agribusiness covering Malaysia and Indonesia. Prior to that, he was a senior equity research analyst for over five years with NatWest Markets and Credit Lyonnais Securities Asia covering various sectors such as utilities, consumer, manufacturing and plantations. He holds a BCom in Accounting and Quantitative Methods from the University of Melbourne, Australia.

Prior to joining Duxton, Wanyi was at WongPartnership LLP where her main areas of practice included mergers and acquisitions, corporate and commercial transactions, regulatory compliance, securities advisory, corporate governance and asset management. Transactions of significance which Wanyi has been involved in include representing the senior management of SGX-ST-mainboard listed Landwind Medical Holdings Limited in consortium arrangements with Citigroup Venture Capital International Growth Partnership and Citigroup Venture Capital International Co-Investment, L.P and acting as Singapore counsel for ADSM-listed Aabar Petroleum Investments Company PJSC in its successful voluntary conditional cash offer for SGX-mainboard listed Pearl Energy Limited. Wanyi was seconded to Deutsche Bank for 8 months from March 2008 as legal counsel to DeAM Asia, where she provided legal support to DeAM Asia's Complex Asset Investments Team. Wanyi graduated from the National University of Singapore with an LL.B. and was admitted to the Singapore Bar.

Rupert Clifton-Bligh, Head of Listed Investment, spent 12 years in fund management in Australia and Singapore. Prior to joining Duxton in May 2009, Rupert worked in DeAM Asia's Complex Asset Investments Team, where he managed the DWS wine portfolios and held Director positions on the board of several Agricultural investee companies managed by DWS GALOF. Prior to moving to Singapore, Rupert was CEO of Odyssey Funds Management , managing direct share portfolio's for High-Net-Worth clients, and prior to that he managed (both as Chief Investment Officer and CEO in final year) the ASX listed International Wine Investment Fund. Principal responsibilities with the wine fund included identifying, structuring, investing, monitoring and exiting listed and unlisted investments in Australia, Europe and US. Before entering the fund management industry, Rupert held a number of senior executive positions in finance and sales across a range of industries including Fast Moving Consumer Products, Information Technology and Corporate Finance. Rupert is a CPA, and holds an MBA and BeC from Macquarie University in Sydney.

Prior to joining Duxton, Scott worked over ten years as an equity research analyst, beginning in 1999 for Deutsche Bank Zurich where he had responsibility for Swiss mid-cap stocks, and subsequently for Deutsche Bank Paris, where he became European Sector Analyst for the sectors of Luxury Goods, Cosmetics and Sporting Goods. In 2004 he joined Lombard Odier Darier Hentsch in Geneva, Switzerland (later merged with Vontobel Investment Banking) where he was Senior Equity Analyst for the Food and Consumer Goods sectors. His teams were consistently rated among the top three for research by Institutional Investor. Before joining Deutsche Bank, Scott worked for 13 years as a Consultant and Actuary for Watson Wyatt. Scott holds a Bachelors Degree in Mathematics from Carleton College, in Northfield Minnesota.

During his time in the agriculture sector, Michael worked for Akkeron Group, a London based agriculture investment firm, and as a consultant advising clients on emerging market deals in Brazil, Bulgaria, Romania, and the Ukraine. Prior to Akkeron, Michael worked in Investment Banking for 4 years in London and New York for Citibank and Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein respectively. John also worked for the Institute for War and Peace Reporting in Serbia, where he introduced economic & business analyses into the organization's news output and wrote regular reports on the region's economic development. Whilst there, he introduced an online news subscription service, eliminating the organization's reliance on donor funding. John holds a MSc in Population and Economic Development from the London School of Economics and a BSc in Economics and Business from University College London.

Prior to joining Duxton, Jessie was Head of Product Control in Capstone Investment Advisors (Singapore) Pte Ltd, responsible for Finance, all stages of Operations from matching trades to reconciling Administrator's report and assisted in Compliance matters. Before joining Duxton, Jessie was with Emirates Tarian Asset Management Pte Ltd where she recruited a team of finance, settlements and compliance personnel, formulated and implemented internal controls, and ensured smooth operations. In 2005, she was the Vice President in Finance and Operations of Artradis Fund Management Pte Ltd where she computed the net asset values for all the 6 funds of the Company totaling USD$1 billion in AUM. Jessie also held a number of executive positions in finance and marketing in her early career.
