Duxton believes in Socially Responsible Investing (SRI)

Duxton is a signatory to the United Nations Global Compact and will assess investments against the stipulated Ten Principles which cover the areas of human rights, labour, the environment and anti-corruption. Moreover, Duxton is part of a working group to develop guidelines for the implementation of the “Principles for Responsible Investment in Farmland” set by large institutional investors in this space to guide other investors who wish to invest in farmland in a sound and responsible manner.

Duxton believes that SRI issues should be approached from the point of view not only as commercial risks to be monitored, but also as opportunities to improve SRI compliance, thereby adding value to investments and to overall portfolio returns. The interests of Duxton’s clients will be best served by operations that respect the environment, adhere to responsible labour practices and maintain positive stakeholder relations.
